Building a High School Career that Leads to Scholarship Opportunities
This course is designed for high school students in grades 9–11 who are planning to pursue post-secondary education and want to become strong candidates for scholarships. Led by experienced guidance counselor Jill Leiter, the course provides step-by-step coaching on how to develop a competitive student profile. Topics include building an effective student résumé, engaging in meaningful community service, developing leadership skills, and understanding what scholarship committees look for in applicants.
The earlier students begin this process, the more time they have to strategically build a compelling portfolio—greatly increasing their chances of earning financial awards for college or trade school. The most successful students are the ones who engage in the activities of this course throughout their high school years.
Senior Year Journey to Graduation and Scholarships for College and Trade School
This course is designed for high school seniors who are aiming to maximize their opportunities for college and trade school scholarships. Under the expert guidance of experienced counselor Jill Leiter, students will receive comprehensive support throughout every stage of the senior year—from building a strong résumé and securing letters of recommendation to writing impactful essays and completing college and scholarship applications.
While no program can guarantee scholarship awards, students who actively engage in the process and apply the strategies taught in this course will significantly enhance their chances of success. Jill’s proven approach provides structure, motivation, and tips to help students confidently navigate this critical final year.
